I’m Komal Rupani, and I absolutely dread small talk. Hand me a paper and pen, and I’ll wage word wars with ease — but ask me to introduce myself in a ‘fun’ way at a party, and you’ll watch the color drain from my face.

I’ve been around for over three decades now, and honestly, Earth’s a pretty interesting place to be. I spent the first 15 years of my life in a small, underrated gem called Oman — tucked between the Arabian Sea and the cluster of Gulf nations. Quiet, scenic, and never quite trending on Instagram, it was the perfect place to begin.

After school, I moved to India — eyes full of dreams and a heart full of questions — and landed in the bustling chaos that is Mumbai. And oh, what a ride it’s been! I graduated, worked in tech, then went on to pursue my MBA. Amidst all-nighters and endless assignments, I met the person who would eventually become my husband.

Then came Bangalore, an MNC pharma job, and a few years of adulting. But Mumbai called me back — as it always does. I switched jobs, closed the loop on a long-distance relationship, and got married to the love of my life. Just when we thought we’d settle down in Mumbai for good, life rerouted us to Delhi NCR — where I now live and write, mostly from a desk that overlooks the mighty skyscrapers, nestling within itself the quintessential suburban-vibe row houses and a sky perpetually full of sunshine (read: heatwave & pollution).

I didn’t start this blog with dreams of virality. I just wanted a space to collect and share my thoughts — as honestly, as eloquently, and as unapologetically as I can.
